Yahtzee is an old-school family dice game that has been around for decades, and now, it lives on in the form of New Yahtzee With Buddies! Don't forget that a Yahtzee is worth 50 points and will practically guarantee your victory.
3. Choose What To Lock In
Whenever you make normal rolls, you can choose which dice to lock in, and which ones to reroll. For example, if you roll two sixes, you can choose to lock those in, and reroll the rest. If on the next roll you end up with three fives, you could play a Full House. Another option you have, however, is to try for a Yahtzee by unlocking the two sixes to see if you can get two more fives. Of course, it is a gamble, but the payoff is worth it. It is really up to you whether you want to play it safe or go for broke.
4. Challenge The Dice Masters
The Dice Masters are the computer-controlled opponents in the game. There is no wait time for their turns since they play instantly. It is a good idea to practice with them, especially if you want a quick game. Aside from getting some play time, beating the Dice Masters will also get you cool rewards. They can be found in the Showdowns, so head on over there when you don't feel like competing against real players just yet.

Then (in descending order) try to get a large straight, a full house, a small stright, then a three-of-a-kind. You want to try to get the harder rolls first. You should always try for a roll that you're in a good position to achieve, but you should lean toward rolling a more improbable roll. The good thing about this strategy is that you can use the easier Yahtzee hands as a saftety net.
